Universal Credit- statement not received

Hi, I have claimed UC for the first time because of marriage separation. I have done everything asked of me and yesterday I submitted my monthly earnings (i’m Self employed) my statement was due today telling me how much I will get next week when’s it’s paid.
The statement isn’t showing? Instead I had to fill out a form stating how much myself and husband were paid in the year before I started my claim. I’m super anxious and having money worries as I’m renting on my own with our 3 children and if UC don’t pay me I can’t afford to live.
Am I being impatient, does the statement come through at any time during the day or should it have been on already??

If it's your first payment then the statement may not show until a day or so before you are due to be paid so I wouldn't worry too much. It may be that they still need to calculate your amount especially if self employed. The question regarding how much you were paid in the last year is just to see if you are exempt from the benefits cap, it's a standard question that they ask everyone.

Give them a call and make sure there's nothing else outstanding. UC is the most inept system you can think of. Don't assume anything is happening in the background and chase chase chase all the time.

Phew! Thank you! I was having a financial meltdown. I wrote my car off last week too so I think it’s just too much going on and too much to think about. Thanks again

Good afternoon and thanking you in advance.
I’m on Universal Credits since November last year,
I’ve noticed my statement wasn’t available online although the headline says “ you will be payed on 29th of March”, I’ve checked again and didn’t show.. I’ve wrote on my journal asking for clarification but no answer.
Result I haven’t being payed, 3rd day calling UC from 8am to 6pm and no luck.
I haven’t received any letter letting me know my payment would be stopped... I’m on my own with two kids, renting privately..rent due today.
Don’t know what to do :((((((

Im having the exact same problem as you aswell! Have you had any luck? There was no statement for me, i asked via my journal and heard nothing and then didn't get paid. Almost impossible to get through to them!

There have been over 100k new Uc claims in the past couple of weeks, they are completely inundated with sorting new claims. So it may be that anything that needs to be calculated manually like self employed earnings is taking a bit longer than normal. check there is nothing outstanding on your to do list.

Absolutely nothing at all. Not a thing. I messaged about there not being a statement twice. No reply. Then thought they're inundated and they'll probably pay without the statement. Didn't happen. I don't understand what's happened

I’m having the exact same issues as you two aswell, statement due Friday, payment today. Have received nothing. Please keep updated, I will do the same? I’ve left several messages in journal. Am glad to know it’s not just me! Was worried sick UC have stopped when we’re now only getting statutory sick pay!

Glad I found this thread. I was due a statement yesterday and nothing came on, I assumed it was because yesterday was a Sunday, I've been checking all morning today and nothing is showing. I've got nothing outstanding on my to do list. Now I'm really worried. I've sent a message via journal but they're so busy I can't see it being replied to any time soon.

I’ve managed to get through on the line, ours was due to HMRC not giving earnings to UC, but account online says it went on HMRC 28th Feb. He looked again and so no we do have earnings, he said he cleared that bit and statement would be ready, looked online and it was there. Payment due before 8pm today.

Managed to get a reply on my journal, ours is also due to HMRC not giving earnings to UC, hubby has to ring and give net, gross, tax, insurance and pension deductions for period 2/3-3/3 then hopefully it'll be sorted

If he is unable to get through perhaps he can log into his personal tax account on HMRC website- google personal tax account HMRC. Hope that helps, our payment has clear as of 11am. Fingers crossed it’s sorted soon!

Hi IM suppose to get my universal credit statement on a Monday but always get it early like a Friday or Saturday I’ve had nothing I tried ringing them yesterday but get the same voice message and I’m really worried that I won’t get paid

Don’t call them. They are overwhelmed and these calls are the reason they can’t clear the payment blockers. Put a journal note in for your case manager.

I have same issue my statement is meant to be ready by 29 june 20 and my payment due on 3rd July.. I called them and they lady said she will leave a message for my work coach but she still hasnt got back to me yet. Today is the 2nd of july and with what everyone is saying I guess I wont be paid tommorow either. If my landlord doesnt recieve her rent it will not be good for me.

Numpty UC user here. Finally got into the system last month, one payment thus far. It really helped, although not huge as I did get a few hrs work.

I'm self employed, & everything I DO earn gets transferred to my personal account as drawings.

Does this count as expenses? Otherwise the reduction on my UC as a % of my takings is going to leave me with no support at all.

Sorry to seem thick, my Covid brain is struggling

I've rang a few times and they're not sure why it's happened. They've just told me to leave a note in my journal. They have also left a note for my coach to get back to me but I haven't had a reply since the 8th!

Hi. I was meant to receive my uc today, I have checked my statements and it’s showing no payments on there for this month. I am really worked up and feel sick because I am rent to pay and a child I need to feed! Has anyone else had this issue? And if so did it get sorted and did you get your payment?

I’m due to get paid tomorrow and I have not had my statement yet. I’m disabled and I have a autistic son and my husband lost his job because of the carona virus. We really need to get paid tomorrow but I don’t think we will :(

Universal credit say my statement is due on the 27th payment due on the first had no statement yet just wondering why ?
