I am on benefits income support. I dont recieve mortgage help so i pay that myself as applied on 2 occasions but they messed it up.
Thing is when i was working i bought a motorhome for family holidays. I had it 12 yrs and just paid it off last year. Now its been stolen and i am concerned the payout will affect income support. My adult son has learning disability so its the best way for us to take holiday. I would like to replace it with 2nd hand one or do the much needed jobs on my house as im single parent. However how would this affect income support if i received payout of £22,000. I have read that insurance claims are disregarded for 6 months. Anyone got advice or experience of this
