Hubby no longer self employed

Hubby is recently no longer self employed due to a serious long term health condition. We have done the form online to tell HMRC. Will they write to us something to acknowledge this?

Just asking as we claim a bit from universal credit so they need proof he's no longer self employed

Have you submitted his 18/19 self assessment and included the cessation date ?
THat should trigger the right letters from HMRC

Not yet as it's not due in until January, maybe I'll get cracking with that now tho

Payment is due by January.
File it sooner rather than later to sort your records

@aquarius1994 Get the tax return completed and submitted now, enter the cessation date then follow up with a phone call or web chat to confirm.
