Will they accept it. I got married last week. Thought I'd change bank 1st.
Changed it Monday. Today a car tax refund arrived obviously in my previous name.

My new cards haven't arrived and I still my old card and driving licence. As sending that as soon as possible to get changed.

Rang dvla and they said that can't change as has to be the name the log book was in.

My alternative is to go to a cash cheque type shop and pay a fee? With the I'd I still have in maiden name.

You are still the same person so it shouldn’t be a problem at all.

Yes, just take your marriage certificate.

OK I'll go tomorrow.
I know when my mum got divorced they wouldn't and it was 3 weeks after name change. She took her divorce papers and her old passport in her married name and they wouldn't cash it.
Hopefully the same lady will be there an sort it OK.
Thank you

I married years ago and my bank still cashes maiden name ones.

BowiesJumper · 08/08/2019 14:54

I had this, just took my marriage cert as others have said.

They took it. They said only because I haven't received the new card and my maiden name one would verify me.
