hoping to find someone who's been down this road before... i'm hoping to be able to find a private landlord who takes the rent loan scheme , if the landlord takes that, is it true to say they will/might also accept housing benefit? i am exploring possibilities while active on the job hunt...

thanks for any advice/info given...

Hi, you can generally get your housing benefit paid directly to you instead of your landlord so they might not need to know you are currently on any benefit. Check with your local JCP office but this was the case, in Wales, before I started my maternity leave! You could also speak with your local Shelter office who can advise you regarding anything to do with housing. This would probably be beneficial as renting accomodation can be, but usually isn't, a nightmare. Good luck!
