Student year abroad rent query

Please would someone let me know the best way to make an international payment to pay student rent while they are studying abroad?

My dd has just paid her August rent in Santiago, Chile and has been charged around £40 in exchange rate fees, which is way too much.

Moneycorp have just taken over the post office service. I'm certain it was free when I used it years ago. I've since just switched to a bank that doesn't charge for international transfers. Has she looked into Monzo?

Ohcanada, yes dd has a Monzo card, but it only allows £200 per month every 30 days to be withdrawn without exchange rate charges. The rent is way more unfortunately.
