@Studenthelp
Prolific is hit and miss. I picked up 4 low paying studies yesterday and had to return one which crashed. At best it's a tiny bit extra income. Between prolific and Intellizoom I've earned an extra £50 in the last month but it is not a regular income by any means and that is only because I have been off my day job for some of the time.

Zebrimid · 14/08/2019 10:43

classedasarsehole, thank you! Will apply for them today, I got rejected from a bunch I applied for earlier Sad

StudentHelp · 14/08/2019 11:54

@Wolfff
Glad to hear it’s not just me. I only really want to make some money to get out of my overdraft (£500 Shock) before the next term of uni starts.

I tend to just do surveys, receipt apps, topcashback etc. So I’m not expecting a full income, just a bit here and there. Prolific gave me false hope on the first day I joined though Grin

Wolfff · 14/08/2019 12:05

@StudentHelp
Have you tried Appen? I've just recommended that to my student daughters. The project I'm on takes about an hour a day (you have to do 5/7 days) and after foreign exchange is about £10 a day. So £2-300 a month - depending on whether you do 5 or 7 days a week.

Countrygirl38 · 14/08/2019 12:08

Thanks from me too Zebrimid! I have refreshed it too and have 40 there!!

StudentHelp · 14/08/2019 12:09

@Wolfff
I haven’t tried Appen. Do you need to commit to weeks of work at a time? I’m a vet student so have placements to do during summer (hence why I don’t have a real job) so some days I might not be able to commit the time.
I could potentially book all my placements in a block next year and then have a good few weeks free afterwards though.

Countrygirl38 · 14/08/2019 12:10

I can't do Appen as it pays through Payoneer. Payoneer need ID. It really frustrates me as not everyone has a passport or driving licence in this country!

Otterses · 14/08/2019 12:13

@Countrygirl38

Confused I never had to give ID!

Is it worth getting a provisional licence for £14? One hour of Appen would easily pay for it!

OP posts:
justtheonethen · 14/08/2019 12:26

@Countrygirl38 I didn't give id either!

Wolfff · 14/08/2019 12:47

@studenthelp

DD1 is also a vet student going into 4th year. Appen is ongoing but given you only need to do 1 hr a day x 5 it is doable. Even though placements/nights are a problem.

DD1 does some casual shifts at another job if and when as well.

Countrygirl38 · 14/08/2019 13:53

I think I will have to get a form of ID. So many things require it now. It was payoneer that wouldn't let me proceed without it not Appen.

Bemystarlord · 14/08/2019 14:28

Has anyone had any problems with payoneer payments not clearing in their bank? Last month it cleared straight away but has been sitting in the account but not showing as available for 2 days now!

Got rejected for the utest voice work, apparently my voice doesn't sound midlands enough 🤣 annoying though as really need a new project!!

StudentHelp · 14/08/2019 14:43

@Wolfff
What a coincidence!
All the places hiring in my village wanted on going commitment which was a shame.
1 hour a day should be fine when I’m doing clinical EMS/Vet nursing placements but when doing dairy etc my hours were 7am-8pm (or later if calving) and I was knackered afterwards. However, I was very very lucky to be paid!

I’ll take a look at it now, thank you for the recommendation Grin

Givemestrengthorgin · 14/08/2019 14:59

Hi all. I've just joined Appen and started doing the speech recording. But there is almost 900 recordings for $43! It's going to take me an age...is it worth it? Have other people had success doing this?

BlackCatFan · 14/08/2019 15:09

To those of you who do Palfish - do you need to have previous teaching experience? It asks on the application what my teaching style is.. I don't really know how to answer as I don't have prior teaching experience. Very interested in this one though, pays into payoneer which is a bit annoying..

Zebrimid · 14/08/2019 15:14

No but if you want to teach the kids course you need a TEFL or Tesol or similar certificate.

BlackCatFan · 14/08/2019 15:15

@Zebrimid thanks. I'll have a look and see if I can find the adult version.

Zebrimid · 14/08/2019 15:29

It's all on the same app, just for the kids course which is better in terms of money you can apply for afterwards within the app.

StudentHelp · 14/08/2019 15:35

Does anyone have any apps they’d recommend just to make a pound here and there? I already use:

  • receipt hog (takes ages!)
  • Shoppix (much quicker)
  • curious cat (used to be good but now don’t get much)
  • citizen me (fast paying but is often just 10p here and there)
  • Streetbees (Great! Often get £5 for a story and love it)
  • Air time rewards (Good so far)

And just downloaded Vypr so will see joe that goes.

Have tried loads of others e.g. Voxpopme, bemyeye, fieldagent

bananamuffin99 · 14/08/2019 17:50

I've made £18 (minus paypal fees) today selling a bath and body works candle on a facebook group and $2 on an intellizoom survey :)

I travel to the states and Canada quite often with my job, so I'm planning on buying bath and body works stuff and candy etc and selling them on facebook, hoping it will be a nice little earner :)

maxbabi · 14/08/2019 18:50

Hi
Has anyone completed the intellizoom survey Halifax car insurance?
It's asking for a dd to be set up and to collect a payment. Will it actually take the funds?
A lot of work for $5
