Dear all,

Please can I request some advice from you lovely mums and dads.
After years of abuse from my partner I have decided to leave him. And have been offered a bed sit through the key worker scheme.

I have managed to save together a deposit and some money along with my wages will cover the first few months rent.

My question is will I be able to claim any help towards housing?
I am able to work however due to all that's been going on I now suffer with anxiety and depression. I do not claim any benefits and will continue to work reduced hours (after my last breakdown). But with a view to increasing hours when i can.

I would just like a little help if possible with the rent.

What are my options? I dont want to leave and then have to return within a couple of months

Tia

You can put your details into a calculator.

What type of accommodation are you in? Is it supported? If so you may need to check whether you claim UC or HB as rules are different for supported living
