Let's try not to fill this one up too quickly Grin

I think everyone had an absolutely smashing month in June, with lots of luck thrown in at the end of it for good measure. I think we're all proving it's possible you can earn £10 a day from the comfort of your own sofa.

I'll pop together an updated list of earning methods later, I haven't had coffee yet Grin

All new joiners are welcome Smile

Thanks reddA - yes I do - I was aware of the site anyway, but I definitely do now keep it open as a tab when I'm working. The daily issues thing is spot on - there were a few today that after a bit of Googling I knew who was being mentioned and why etc but it took some time to get there.

IrishGal21 · 19/07/2019 21:00

Would you say matchbetting is the most profitable of all these side hustles? The Appen? Crisp?

Buster27 · 19/07/2019 21:24

@Bemystarlord - thanks for the heads up, hadn't thought about that being a possible issue (and I definitely don't want to do it again for nothing!)

whatthewhatthewhat · 19/07/2019 21:41

This so is weird. I can literally only do ten minutes before my stress levels get so high, from fear of getting something wrong, that I just have to stop! Lol

Going to lie down... 🤣🤣🤣

IrishGal21 · 20/07/2019 00:36

Has anyone tried the passive income earner by renting out your bandwidth while sleeping? can u trust them not to hack you lol

Otterses · 20/07/2019 07:02

@IrishGal21

It really depends on your time commitment, what project your assigned, your demographic/area you're in, etc.

So Appen is amazing profitable if you're on a project with say, unlimited hours like Yukon, but equally you could end up on a project like Saulda which is just two hours a week. Crisp is really profitable if you can work during surges and at night, less so during quiet periods. Matched betting, again depends on your understanding of the more advanced offers and the size of your bankroll. People even make huge amounts with the mystery shopping apps, but again it depends on where you live.

Sorry, I know that's not helpful Blush but they're factors to consider.

@IrishGal21

I think it depends on time, logistics etc. I work full time but have picked up an Appen project which is an hour a day but earns roughly $14 an hour. I do it first thing in the morning or on my way to work.

I tried matched betting a couple of years ago but you need a lot of time to make real money once the initial offers are used up and it ties up a lot of cash at the same time.

I need extra cash for my step fathers care home costs. I wouldn’t bother otherwise.

CatHopeful · 20/07/2019 08:49

Is it normal for the Crisp dashboard to not update at weekends? My balance for 'today's earnings' has reset to zero, as expected, but yesterdays totals have vanished - they haven't been added to my monthly estimated earnings and the data for yesterday doesn't appear in the list below.

reddA · 20/07/2019 09:02

@CatHopeful it happens all the time, not sure why, it'll update eventually Hmm Quiet this morning which is annoying as it's still crap weather and I'm ready to work! Typical

CatHopeful · 20/07/2019 09:06

Thanks reddA It's slow? That's a shame, it's all quiet in my house at the moment and I was hoping to put in a solid hour. Boo.

justtheonethen · 20/07/2019 09:23

You missed the good surges on crisp- 5-7am was great!

anxiouswaiting · 20/07/2019 10:30

Are other Crispers often sending details or unsure ratings? I haven't done much on Crisp yet as every time I login I am disturbed, but I have sent several unsures to the moderation address and I feel a bit silly.

Also had a few this morning which I was unsure if its a PR issue but there is no unsure button, I wasn't quite sure what to do so I logged out!

justtheonethen · 20/07/2019 10:35

@anxiouswaiting I sent quite a few to start with, just send them in one go at the end of the session, I still send a few two months in. It's fine, that's what it's for, they don't mind. I wouldn't just log out, unless you finish the session properly then items get pushed back down the queue and might not come around again in time for them to meet their time target to clients. If that happens I would send a screenshot to the manager on slack. Don't feel silly, it's how you learn, they honestly don't mind.

CatHopeful · 20/07/2019 10:59

anxiouswaiting I sent one this morning - the feedback they give is really useful. Are you on training data or live work? I didn't have an unsure option for the training data, but I do for live work.

seizethecuttlefish · 20/07/2019 11:38

Cloudworkers. Is it worth it? I've got all the details for 10cents per message and to agree to working hours. Just don't know if it'll be worth while. What do people usually get per hour?

anxiouswaiting · 20/07/2019 11:43

@justtheonethen Oh I didn't think of that! luckily it was so so quiet when I was on, I was sitting waiting for messages so even if it went to the back someone else would have got it really quickly.

@CatHopeful No not training data. There were no unsures when I was on training data but since being on live data I have always had the unsure button but not on that one for some reason.

ShinyButtons · 20/07/2019 16:56

@seizethecuttlefish I'm not sure how much I made an hour on cloud workers, I never actually managed to do a full hour in one go. If you were quick at typing and could keep going I think you might do ok.

seizethecuttlefish · 20/07/2019 17:11

Thanks. By the looks of it Crisp can take a while to come through, there's nothing much happening on appen and I'm thinking cloudworkers might tide me through but I don't want to be slogging away for nothing.

Bemystarlord · 20/07/2019 17:36

@seizethecuttlefish the fastest i can manage whilst doing it properly i.e filling in the notes and checking back is about 50 an hour which works out at roughly £4 per hour :(

whatthewhatthewhat · 20/07/2019 17:49

You'd think someone, somewhere, would do more to help utilise the army of (I'm assuming mostly) SAHMs that want to work and make money...
(Sigh) ...in a flexible, non-degrading, way!

seizethecuttlefish · 20/07/2019 18:15

@Bemystarlord that's what I was thinking. Thanks. Here's hoping Crisp comes in soon. I was hoping it'd be really quick by looking back on this thread, loads of people are waiting about a month.

pisspants · 20/07/2019 18:21

This is not working from home but I have managed to do it in the past with kids in tow. The electoral roll is updated each year by each local authority and employs a number of people casually to do this. The work is during October/November and I usually make about £700-£800 doing it for about 3 days work. It's pretty decent and good money. I used to do it leaving the kids in the car with screens, book etc and do a few houses on each road so they were not left for long. This was when they were about 7 and 10 so was ok. Now they are old enough to be left home for a few hours so can pop out and do a small area.
If you contact the electoral team at your local council they can let you know if they have any slots.

whatthewhatthewhat · 20/07/2019 19:44

@pisspants isn't it all done online now?

Otterses · 20/07/2019 19:51

@whatthewhatthewhat

I spend 90% of my time worrying about that, and the impact on SAHM's in the future in terms of not only finances, but mental health and social interaction. It really concerns me that companies aren't leaning towards home working that's flexible, portable and reliable.

I'm hoping at 3am one night I'll come up with a solution! Grin
