6 months in and still going strong! It's the July earn £10 a day thread!

Let's try not to fill this one up too quickly Grin

I think everyone had an absolutely smashing month in June, with lots of luck thrown in at the end of it for good measure. I think we're all proving it's possible you can earn £10 a day from the comfort of your own sofa.

I'll pop together an updated list of earning methods later, I haven't had coffee yet Grin

All new joiners are welcome Smile

Thanks for all your replies...turns out it was an error with my log in, not a fault with Talk Talk. Can finally start now. I'm sure I will have more questions.

Are cloudworkers still taking on new workers?

Hi everyone,
I'm completely new to all this and following the thread with interest. I passed the Crisp test with 19 so hoping to hear back from them soonish, I've also applied to cloudworkers and had an email back asking if I'd like to move forward with my application, unsure about this one and now I've read a bit more info I'm even more Confused Has anyone got any advice about what to expect, from personal experience plz? Is it worth it? I can't decide if I should just go for it or back away slowly BlushGrin
Thanks!

BlockRockinBeats · 11/07/2019 20:42

@BlackCatFan and @Bemystarlord

I applied for Cloudworkers and have been sent all the paperwork to complete. The only thing putting me off is the requirement to commit to 12 hours a week as this will not be achievable for me. I note from your updates that you had both only done a few hours in a month, which is obviously a lot less than they were expecting. Has anyone said anything to you about not doing enough hours? Do you think they start off asking for 12 hours a week but then let people do how ever many hours they can manage? Ie a few hours are better than none at all, type of thinking.

If I can get away with just doing a few hours per week, that would be perfect. I think I might just send all the papers back anyway. If I pass the paperwork and training test, I could just start and do what hours I can and see if they say anything.

I am interested to see how people get on with Modsquad, especially to find out how it compares to Crisp in terms of training, pay, type of content. Good luck those of you who have applied and update us all when you have some news!

@Otterses I noticed you shared the link to the Neilsen computer thing via TopCashBack (currently oaying £10). I had a look at the reviews of lots of people were saying that they ended up getting rid of it as it was slowing down their computer. This is putting me off. Do you run Neilsen on your computer and do you notice anything bad as a result? I have the MobileXpressions VPN on my phone and it has not affected it at all. Hey, I also got my £20 Amazon voucher from them a few weeks ago! Well worth having. Thanks for the tip.

Bemystarlord · 11/07/2019 20:48

@BlockRockinBeats I only had a few hours last month because I started just a few days before the end of the month. I did 12 hours last week and aiming for 12 hours this. Not sure how strict they are about it but they seem pretty on it with people who book shifts but don’t attend. No harm in trying though, i’m still hoping to get something else abit more regular so I can drop it.

BlackCatFan · 11/07/2019 21:21

Hmm... I asked about the payment and it would seem I was paid in error - now they're asking me to return the money! 🤨😳

Bemystarlord · 11/07/2019 21:32

@BlackCatFan oh no nightmare! Did they say what happened? What about the actual money they owe you?

BlackCatFan · 11/07/2019 21:36

@Bemystarlord I don't think they owe me any money this month because I didn't reach the payment threshold, I'm still owed for the hours I did complete this month though.. It is a nightmare and I'm not doing any more work for them. After paying back the whole amount including the fees & conversion I'll be out of pocket.
Apparently they paid me another agent's money.. I only found out because I asked them via Skype about the amount because it didn't sound right.

justtheonethen · 11/07/2019 21:45

@BlackCatFan definitely don't pay back the whole amount, give them it less the fees!

Bemystarlord · 11/07/2019 22:08

@BlackCatFan I agree don’t leave them yourself out if pocket! Do you know what the threshold for payment is?

BlackCatFan · 11/07/2019 22:12

@Bemystarlord I think the threshold is £50.
I agree I'm not going to include the fees, it was their mistake.

Jaffacakebeast · 11/07/2019 22:19

Appen 509 the best 1 so far for me :) wonder how long it’ll be on for

anxiouswaiting · 12/07/2019 07:36

@BlackCatFan if you use the refund option on paypal rather than actually send them a payment then you shouodn't get charged any fees.

If you aren't going to do any more work foe them perhaps you could tell them that and also deduct what they owe you before refunding?

MrsWombat · 12/07/2019 07:37

Woohoo! Appen payday for me.

whatthewhatthewhat · 12/07/2019 08:11

@Jaffacakebeast how many have you managed?

whatthewhatthewhat · 12/07/2019 08:13

@MrsWombat I'm very Jelly! I must have missed the cut off :-(

Bemystarlord · 12/07/2019 08:14

@MrsWombat me too my first one and only $155 but i’m very excited 😆

Do you know how long it takes to hit your bank after withdrawing from payoneer?

Bemystarlord · 12/07/2019 08:16

@Jaffacakebeast I’m really hoping it goes on awhile as its so easy and good money (hoping they are not too strict about the half second gap at the start and end as its tricky to get it exact)

Otterses · 12/07/2019 08:22

Never had any issues, I run it on my phone and laptop Smile but then again, you don't know till you try. Lots of people have issues with mobilexpression slowing their phone down.

I've got major surge envy Envy ... you lucky crisp lot!

I'll just be fannying around all day looking to see wha volunteering opportunities I can sign up for Grin

I’ve done 1800 in past 2days lol, ye the gap is hard to remember when you’re flying through them

Buster27 · 12/07/2019 08:46

Having a rubbish month on matched betting so far. Normally my main earner so a bit annoying, hopefully the second half of the month will be more profitable.

£6 from prolific this month so far. None for a good few days, must log in a bit more.

Completed Appen Fletcher and Noyo, hoping Fletcher was ok! I've applied for about 10 other projects so hoping to get accepted onto something else.

I'm on Appen 509 on Global, liking it so far. Only done a couple of batches so far but they're pretty quick to do so hoping I can get through a good few on my non-working days.

Not heard anything from Crisp yet, hopefully it will come!

MrsWombat · 12/07/2019 09:07

@Bemystarlord Mine goes from Payoneer to Paypal pretty instantly. (well it was overnight so quite sure on times) I then send it from paypal to my bank account which happened instantly. I think the paypal fees were cheaper or it was a quicker process or the conversion fees were better? I just copied someone else on here.

MrsWombat · 12/07/2019 09:11

How are people getting onto this Appen 509 project? Is global something different or was it an invitation?

Bemystarlord · 12/07/2019 09:13

@MrsWombat great thank you, i have mine linked to bank account so maybe that takes abit longer.

The 509 task is with Global. Its paid fortnightly too :)
