6 months in and still going strong! It's the July earn £10 a day thread!

Let's try not to fill this one up too quickly Grin

I think everyone had an absolutely smashing month in June, with lots of luck thrown in at the end of it for good measure. I think we're all proving it's possible you can earn £10 a day from the comfort of your own sofa.

I'll pop together an updated list of earning methods later, I haven't had coffee yet Grin

All new joiners are welcome Smile

@justtheonethen It must be just that they haven't activated them yet like with the other Fletcher one. Hopefully will be soon.

Still very jealous of all you crispers, still keep looking for them in my inbox😆. Well done though, some great earnings x

CatHopeful · 09/07/2019 15:59

Crisp have paid my invoice already, I'm very impressed by that. Paypal do take a chunk of fees. Going forward I'll have to get my head around how to put together my own invoice.

le1la · 09/07/2019 16:02

Hi all.
I'm a little late to the party since we're over a week into July now but I'm planning to leave my job and go freelance soon so I'm making baby steps into earning money under my own steam. I've been reading all your threads and you're all so successful!
I signed up to Appen yesterday and got a project and a PIN but it looks like no-one here can log in either so that's my first question answered. I've also signed up to Crisp.
I guess my main question is - how many hours do you all work a month to earn ~£500? £500 would really help with those unexpected things that pop up (like today - £70 for a new tyre when my car went in for a service...cry!).
Huge thanks :)

BlackCatFan · 09/07/2019 17:10

@CatHopeful How much did you get paid by Crisp and for how many hours if you don't mind me being nosey? I'm dying to know how much I might be earning but I'm still on the training data and with no Klipfolio as yet!

BlackCatFan · 09/07/2019 17:12

@CatHopeful Oh ignore me, I've read your post further down.

reddA · 09/07/2019 17:45

It's really hard to say how many hours and how much per hour with Crisp as sometimes it is really slow (like this morning) and other times it's busy with a surge. Also it depends how fast you work and if you can get in the zone with no distractions. I find I really need frequent breaks away from the computer to keep my concentration but that might just be my age Grin

justtheonethen · 09/07/2019 18:14

Same as @reddA, sometimes I make loads in no time but other times not so much. I need to take lots of breaks too. Possibly also age 🤣

Emiliemoo · 09/07/2019 19:43

I discovered this thread about a week ago and have been reading with interest. I've been trying to read through the past threads too. You're all so impressive

I went back to work part time after my maternity leave so would love to top up my income. I've taken and passed the Crisp test so just waiting for that; a bit wary of Appen though. I don't think I really understand what you do.

I've seen some of you have made some good money. I now earn under the personal allowance so don't pay tax. My question is if I can earn as well as some of you - what do I do about tax?

I'm not trying to avoid or hide anything.

DontCallMeDarling · 09/07/2019 20:47

If you earn over the £1000 trading allowance then you need to contact HMRC and register as self employed and then fill out a tax return each year.

anxiouswaiting · 09/07/2019 21:35

I've been trying to do some of the Crisp training data tonight but it is so difficult, I think I am getting a lot wrong. I haven't done loads because I have no idea how I am doing, if I am getting them wrong I don't want to keep going and keep getting them wrong.

I have 8 Appen waiting now, I applied for Pecwan today, I think I saw someone on here said they were doing the exam, can you tell me what is is like? Is it a difficult one? Looks like good steady hours if you manage to pass the exam.

I have a slow stream of work from Crescent, sometimes there are tasks and sometimes there aren't, ine I have been doing hasn't kicked me off yet so I can;t be doing too bady with that. Also still doing Fletcher transcriptions but there are rarely any batches available to me.

I seriously need to take some time to look into matched betting. Had an e-mail from the letting agency telling us because of the new rules they have to return some of our deposit to us, so I am considering using that as a starter pot for the bets.

ShinyButtons · 09/07/2019 21:53

@anxiouswaiting I feel the same doing the training data. I keep doing a bit, but I'm scared to do to much because I feel like I'm getting loads wrong.

Has anyone here finished the training data yet? Do they let you know if you're getting it wrong or if you did ok?

SorryDidISayThatOutLoud · 09/07/2019 22:28

@shiny buttons and @anxious waiting, I have been the same with Crisp. I have done quite a bit, but I am now convinced I have done some wrong. It's mainly twitter and retweets coming up. I would love some feedback. Have any of you actually announced yourself or just done as I have and sneaked in and started working?
It would have been good if they had had a chat session for newbies or similar, I think.

justtheonethen · 09/07/2019 22:42

@SorryDidISayThatOutLoud you don't have to announce yourself unless you're doing a specialist shift. I'm sure you're all doing fine Smile

ShinyButtons · 09/07/2019 23:08

@SorryDidISayThatOutLoud I've done about an hour in total today in small chunks I was over thinking and going round in circles on what might a risk, so I stopped over thinking then panicked I might have missed something.

At least the cloud workers is really easy, so even if i turn out to be rubbish at crispyness I can still do that lol

plinkyblonk · 10/07/2019 05:45

Hi

just came across this thread, apologies for my ignorance but what is it you are all doing?
I am pretty skint at the moment so wondering if someone could explain this to me as I would like to get onboard.

Many thanks xx

Otterses · 10/07/2019 06:40

@plinkyblonk

I really hope I'm not coming across as rude, but it's worth reading the first posts of the two threads I've linked to quite a few times in this thread now. The first post of the May and Feb thread I've linked to in the first few posts have pretty good lists/summaries of what the sites mentioned here are and what some of us do on them Smile

whatthewhatthewhat · 10/07/2019 09:33

Anyone else having log in problems?

reddA · 10/07/2019 09:56

@whatthewhatthewhat which site?

whatthewhatthewhat · 10/07/2019 10:04

It's ok now

Loving the new Appen task, so much easier than the last one! Some weird pronunciations!

Do Appen only pay via PayPal?

DB761 · 10/07/2019 10:53

Hi everyone, I have been invited to complete an Appen project 509. I have set up my Payoneer account but when I select start recording the link doesn't recognise this. Has anyone come across this or do you have any other ways that you log on to a project?

justtheonethen · 10/07/2019 11:08

You need to download the AMR app and follow the instructions you have on the appen global page. Basically email, project number and your PIN.

It's a good one, super easy 👍🏻

0hmygoodness · 10/07/2019 11:15

I have the Appen one too but is anyone else having problems with it being slow to upload or is that just my internet slowing me down!

justtheonethen · 10/07/2019 11:23

@0hmygoodness yeah mine is uploading slowly but just keep going and it will upload afterwards.

DB761 · 10/07/2019 11:33

Its ok all sorted, think it just needed time to register, just done my first 300 recording session. Thanks for sharing these sites its such a flexible way of earning, I love it already :)

Bemystarlord · 10/07/2019 11:51

Appen 509 is great! Super easy and alot better paid that fletcher was!! A few unpronounceable ones that i’ve had to skip but otherwise simple and quick.

Had an email to say that Fletcher ITXM has finished and there will be no more batches :( thats a shame as I was quite enjoying those once I’d got sorted.

Anyone else applied for Nile? It became available this morning so keeping fingers crossed 🤞
