PayPal - are there limits?

I've bought a caravan via eBay and want to pay for it via PayPal.

The bank account I have associated in PayPal will have enough money to cover the cost. Are there limits on how much money I can send via PayPal?

Hi OP - this might help, though not sure what the difference is between the 'general limit' of £1,000 and the single transaction limit of £5,500. Perhaps it's £1k unless you make special arrangements? www.paypal-community.com/t5/Archive/Transfer-Payment-limit/td-p/631930

Anyone else know anything about this?

DO NOT pay for a caravan by PayPal unless you have seen it and are taking ownership the second that you transfer (even then probably don't). It is a well known ebay scam to advertise caravans and campers that do not exist.

Don't pay anything until you have physically seen the caravan, are happy and able to take it away.
If the seller is demanding paypal be very cautious. If you want to pay with paypal why? Paypal offer no protection whatsoever on this kind of purchase.
