Hi,

Another inquisitive thread, I appreciate there are a few running simultaneously on money section at the moment.

Though it may seem odd to start another one, these discussions can be helpful for two reasons; it’s inspirational to see other mums and their successful approach to money and also it provides helpful perspective for own decision making since we are such a secretive society when it comes to talking money.

So here it is, what is your monthly household income, how big is the mortgage. Most importantly, in which part of the country are you based.

We're in a cheap part of outer London. Late 30's, very high income and mortgage equivalent to a few months of earnings.

I’m financially successful, live in an area with ridiculously high house prices, but not a mum so no good to you.

But why is it helpful when they are so many variables and the sample is self selecting and unrepresentative of the population at large?

Income is around £5k a month, mortgage £900 a month. In our 30s and live in South East.
