Best day to apply For UC if dp is paid last Fri of month

As previously posted. We need to a poly for uc. I've heard about the people who get paid 2x in an assessment period so lose a uc payment.
He gets paid the last Fri of each month.. So today being the very last day.
Would say 2nd or 3rd be best day to apply? So as that doesn't happen?

The getting paid twice in an assessment period happens once a year to people who are paid four weekly. The other times it could happen are if for example someone was paid early for Christmas or a bank holiday. For people paid four weekly it's inconvenient but they do get more Uc on the other months because they have less in wage deductions. It's probably best to keep your payday away from assessment period dates. I'd say a few days after pay day would be fairly safe but I'm no expert.
