Apcoa charge, don't know what to do!

Hi,
I park 2 or 3 days a week for work at a train station. I've forgotten to pay before, appealed then just paid up. I've done it again and realised I've missed the 28 days to appeal or pay (it was 2 days ago). It's been a tough time with relative terminally ill which is why I've forgotten to pay.no excuse I know. I'm just worried there may be another one on in post soon!
I pay via the app and saw I did pay on the day but late so not the full day's charge- I forgot to do it straight away. Is it still the case you can ignore or should I just pay up? I know there's case law now which is not helpful.
So annoyed with myself and with them. Difference of £2.50!
Any advice or experiences would be appreciated.

Absolutely don't ignore it. The company can and will take you to court. The advice to ignore is outdated. I would just pay up, I'm not sure what your grounds for appeal would be if you parked and didn't pay the correct amount

Are you in Scotland? Is the land privately owned?

Ah okay. You wouldn't have had to pay it if you were in Scotland but I'm just not sure of the rules down there. Hope this bumps the post for you and you get advice!
