Dp had court hearing last year regarding contact with his Dd. Dp's ex is meant to bring dsd on first day of contact, Dp to return on last day of contact. This was changed last year as DP's ex had a baby. Court hearing tomorrow to review situation but DP's ex has advised the court this afternoon she cannot make hearing as she hasnt got a babysitter and recently had a baby (she had baby september 06, and this is why court ruled Dp does her part of journry during pregnancy and until now ) and has asked for case to be adjourned. Dp has asked the court for the hearing not to be adjourned as DP's ex has had 3 weeks to sort out child care. The court letter did say they may still make ruling if one party does not turn up. do you know what is likely to happen?

Not being able to get a babysitter will not be a good enough reason for the courts so they judge may proceed without her.

Hi Tippi Ime it is likley to be adjourned even though she seems to be taking the piss. The judges like to be seen to be giving people the benefit of the doubt.

Has she got a solicitor? She could instruct her solicitor to say what she wants to say in her absence.

Tippi how did it go?
