Will I get the Maternity Grant?

If we receive £190 per month in Child Tax Credit, will we be entitled to the £500 grant? I can't seem to find any sites that will give a straight answer on this. I don't see the point in applying if I'm going to get turned down so I wondered if anyone knew. Thanks very much.

if ur recieving child tax credits then im assuming u will, all u have to do is get the phone number and ask them to post the application form out(u might even get it at the ante natal clinic) fill it out its like 2 pages honestly, get the midwife to sign it then send it off

you have to receive child tax credit at a "higher than family element"

if youre not entitled to the full amount, they do give it out on a sliding scale, iirc.

it sounds like your earnings must be reasonably high because of your CTC award-you may get nothing. the form doesnt take long to do.
