Working tax Credits

Hi everyone.. just wondered if anyone could share some light on this for me as I'm useless Blush

My working tax credits stopped once i started back at work from my maternity leave last year august. From then until now i have earned just under £2500 (i work on average 16 hours but sometimes less) i also get carers allowance for my son as i have 2 autistic children.

So now I'm wondering will i be entitled to get my working tax credit back or have i earned too much?

This whole thing is giving me anxiety so any responce is appreciated x

Are you single?

Any new claims would be for Universal credit anyway.

Yes im single and its not a new claim, its a renewal x

You should have rung them to see why they had stopped as they shouldn't have. Hopefully you will get a lump sum back.

I don't think they class as a renewal when the award has closed, it will be a new claim. I think it's UC now, we have so far had no changes so are still TC until our area goes to UC.
Just reapply and see what they say.

I did. I rang and appealed it, sent in all the info they needed (payslips and letter from manager etc) but they still didnt change their minds! Its so frustrating. But hopefully it will work out now
