Need advice on money

I'm a first time mum and am really confused about what money help I get after having my baby I work full time and will be on maternity leave for the next 9 months so get statutory maternity pay and my partner works full time but was wondering is there anything else I can claim someone mentioned child benefit or child tax credits I have no idea about any of them so was wondering if anyone could tell me what things I can apply for once baby is here thank you x x

Once your child is born then Child benefit definitely. Unless you are on tax credits already I don't think you can start a new claim for them. It has to be Universal Credit.

Try using the benefits calculator to see what it says.

You can apply for child benefit as long as neither of you earns over 60k. It is no longer possible to make a claim for child tax credits , as it would now be Universal credit. It's unlikely you'd get that unless on very low wages but it does depend on rent, your ages, childcare costs ( when you go back to work after having the baby) and any savings that you have.
