Ex partner stopping payments-advice

My DD is coming up two and until recently my ex has been paying £150 a month CM through a private agreement. This was made prior to giving birth and at which point he decided he didn't want any contact with her or myself. He changed his number, blocked me off everything and supposedly has moved address so I have no details whatsoever.

As far as I'm aware he had a standing order set up and the last payment I didn't receive so he's more than likely stopped the standing order. This has completely thrown me out as I as all the money I do get goes on childcare so that 150 goes a long way although not a lot. I'm planning on going through cms although I've heard a lot of nightmare stories about it.

We wasn't together long so I have little financial info about his side, but from comments he made here and there, on a bad week he earned around £600 a week, but on an average month around £3k. The problem is he mentioned about him being self employed, although I don't know to what extent as he worked for his dad (not sure if it was his dad's company or his dad was a manager etc). I feel as though he's going to lie through his teeth and avoid payments as he clearly isn't taking any financial responsibility.

The one thing I do know is that he had to pay tax as I recall him complaining one time that he owed tax money to HMRC etc so I know he is getting taxed. Just wondering whether the fact he is taxed means they will have some kind of proof of earnings? And also how I go about CMS without any information of him except his name? I have no birth date, address, family info or anything. I've tried to search his name on Google to find for any companies but I can't find anything! Any advice would be great x

Are you sure the bank holiday hasn’t just delayed the payment?

Not sure on how to contact but your best bet is to phone cms and see what they say to do. If he’s paying tax then he’s clearly earning. However, if he works for his dad he pay be getting paid some cash in hand. Until he’s assessed it’d be hard to know if he’s trying to hide income

It was due before bank holiday so I don't think that would of affected it! Its been a week now, going to give it until Tuesday then call them! He used to get it paid into the bank although I'm sure he could find a way around that unfortunately
