And I believe he already has a criminal record as he has referenced his past before. Disgusting. A high-up LulaRoe bot has just been called out for that on one of the anti-MLM Facebook groups and she had her kids in the car as well.

One of yawn’s downline has been ‘promoted’. Apparently she needs 17.5cc at the beginning of this month.
How much has been purchased herself, or has yawn purchased through her account?

Norma27 · 30/04/2019 14:04

*needed

Teddy1970 · 30/04/2019 14:54

Still can't quite believe Nurse bot called people small minded and strange because they don't want to join her 'bizniz'...

Twentytwentyhindsight · 30/04/2019 15:13

It's what she's been taught. She has trusted Yawn implicitly.

Yawn has presented a certain (false) lifestyle, and said that that it is easily achievable by following the simple steps she proposes.

The product are of unprecedented quality, and will sell themselves once people have tried them.

Nurse has a wide circle of friends, family, colleagues and acquaintances, all of whom will be supportive, and will kickstart her business by becoming her first customers (and regulars, since they will be seduced by the sheer awesomeness of the products).

From then on, Nurse will not only rapidly recoup her initial 'investment', but start expanding her empire, as ever greater numbers of people fall over each other for a piece of the action.

The fact that this 'done deal' is not reflected in reality can only be down to fact that Nurse's friends are strange, unsupportive and small-minded people who cannot grasp the greater picture.

Question for ex bots - how did you manage the concept of 'running your own business' whilst terms such as promotion, supervisor and manager are used?

That element intrigues me - I am self employed, I may promote myself this afternoon!

Jasmin82 · 30/04/2019 15:29

@fromdownwest I don't remember if I claimed at any point to be my own boss while in Younique. I do have an iffy memory though, so it's entirely possible I did!
I wouldn't promote myself now in my business. I'm already struggling with the job roles of: General dogsbody, tea lady, director of stock procurement and collie slave. Maybe if I promote myself to Head General dogsbody, I can persuade the collie to do some work...

Twentytwentyhindsight · 30/04/2019 15:30

I mean, honestly, if what the bots told you about the 'business opportunity' was true (buy the biznis in a box, do as I tell you, and you will be shitting gold bars in no time), it would be 'strange' not to be interested.

However, most people (and the number is growing thanks to such platforms as the recent BBC documentary and this thread) can smell bullshit. They are liars, and they know it.

They know their lies are not going to save them from going down the pan, but this will not stop them continuing to lie to draw in the remaining victims that they can to desperately preserve their lifestyles for as long as possible, no matter what damage they are (knowingly) causing.

Twentytwentyhindsight · 30/04/2019 15:38

I am sole director and employee of my company, which was set up to allow me to continue providing a service (the client institution's rules changed so they needed a registered company to provide the work I previously provided as a self-employed sole trader).

A former colleague subcontracts some of the work, and our contractual documents list us as 'Supreme Leader' of our respective companies. I may go for a Messiah Bot inspired title in this year's order for services...

One thing I really hate about MLMs is the pressure to do live videos on FB.

When I was in FLP, luckily there were no Facebook Lives or Instagram stories, it was just posting statuses and pictures of you using the products. It was bad enough feeling forced to spam my friends' feeds, message people I hadn't spoken to since school and see my interaction dwindling with every cringe product post- I am SO glad I didn't feel bullied into baring my soul on Lives too.

It's not only that people are told they need to do Lives, but they're told they need to be 'vulnerable' and 'personal.' Basically they are forced to video themselves (which most of us hate as it is) and share aspects about their lives they never normally would. I've seen various bots from different companies tell me some really personal stuff, on Public mode on FB where anyone can see, about bad relationships, mental health issues, insecurities etc., all to get engagement and ultimately plug a product or the business model as a solution to this.

I'm so glad I don't have this to regret, and whenever I see another bot forced into holding a Live I feel so sorry for them. Social mining is bad enough without going to these depths.

(Who DOES Lives apart from MLMers anyway?)

Spongebobette · 30/04/2019 19:38

@Mielabel I’ve noticed this too. It seems to be a strategy to get more engagement; share interesting / embarrassing facts about your life

Horrid

Twentytwentyhindsight · 30/04/2019 20:07

It's also classic tactics to force people to lay themselves bare within the group to reinforce a sense of dependency.

The uplines and 'mindset gurus' will encourage this at every turn, saying that, in order to free yourself, you have to step out of your comfort zone and be true to yourself. Only then will you be truly able to rid yourself of the ingrained negative influences holding you back.

Cultish, much?

MLMhun · 30/04/2019 20:07

Not supervisor bot has gone live and looks a bit stressed out!

Spongebobette · 30/04/2019 20:11

OMG not-quite-supervisor’s latest live is so sad and desperate

Showing pity orders she’s had from friends. All of which have already arrived so have already been counted towards her CCs.
Begging for more orders till 11.30pm

This is NOT living the dream

Norma27 · 30/04/2019 20:14

It is bloody heartbreaking watching her trying to get supervisor.

Norma27 · 30/04/2019 20:39

According to her upline she has made supervisor!
Funny how less than an hour ago she still had a way to go.

How much of her own money has she has to spend I wonder?

Teddy1970 · 30/04/2019 20:43

There's no way not-quite-supervisor Bot is going to get her CCs tonight....what a way to live, begging people on FB

Spongebobette · 30/04/2019 20:45

Shoving through a few orders on her own credit card, some orders from her upline.. magic.

Spongebobette · 30/04/2019 20:47

@Teddy1970 her manager says she already has! While the underling is still pleading for orders!

Mysterious

Teddy1970 · 30/04/2019 20:52

I saw that Spongebobette....surely if she's hit Supervisor she'd be celebrating on FB now? Her upline is piling on the pressure by saying she's already made it and will become a star on the stage this June, gotta keep that carrot dangling..what a vile company FL is.

Norma27 · 30/04/2019 20:53

I wonder if by stating she has done it, her upline is forcing her to make sure it happens. So she will buy whatever she needs at some point tonight.

Teddy1970 · 30/04/2019 21:05

That's what I'm thinking Norma27....

Spongebobette · 30/04/2019 21:15

Me too

FleeBee · 30/04/2019 21:16

If wants-to-be-supervisor bot says she still has a way to go. What are we estimating that is in £?

Spongebobette · 30/04/2019 21:16

The absolute humiliation of she fails to get enough orders! She’s being forced to make it a reality
