Now a lurker but one of the early (Eyes) bot watchers here (secret rakes handshake)

Just looked at Golden Boy Bots friend list and...he is mates with two of my cousins....I hope to god he doesn't start trying to recruit them. I will be saying something if he does.

As you were...

Is Yawn doing up her house with a view of selling it in the near future?

Painting her outside walls white. Why ruin all the lovely stonework?

OhMyGodTheyKilledKenny · 22/04/2019 13:07

For the same reason she ripped out a stained glass feature, wallpapered the risers on an old winding wooden staircase, upcycled anything that doesn't move etc .....she thinks she's some sort of talented interior designer and loves the attention it brings her (" you're so clever/ that looks lovely/ such a beautiful house".....)

acatcalledjohn · 22/04/2019 13:09

The woman is insufferable.

Whiterangey · 22/04/2019 14:15

What she did to those stairs should be illegal. The same with painting that fireplace hearth back wall thing. When she sells she will have reduced the value of the house as things like that will need top be put right.

The same with whatever brickwork she painted over yesterday.

400 years of original brickwork and countless owners then Yawn comes along and destroys it.

It's unforgivable.

EmmaGrundyForPM · 22/04/2019 14:17

I'll be watching

gotmychocolateimgood · 22/04/2019 15:15

Nicnacs shudder

Whiterangey · 22/04/2019 15:51

She's painted the gorgeous front door as well. It's not gorgeous anymore.

gotmychocolateimgood · 22/04/2019 16:01

It must be hard to be so sickly sweetly nice when somebody who is educated calls you out on your fake science. Just an observation. (Can't say any more here) pm me for info huns x

Whiterangey · 22/04/2019 16:02

I've fallen down a younique rabbit hole, can you all send help?

There is a sign reddit called youniqueamua so much yellow and orange and it doesn't matter what color eyeshadow is used it all looks a light gray and doesn't blend. The foundation is good though, if you are building something and run out of cement you can just use that.

I knew it was awful but never really appreciated how awful it actually is.

Are there any YouTube videos where proper make up artists have attempted to use younique products? I've got a feeling that would be funny.

gotmychocolateimgood · 22/04/2019 16:07

I'd watch that Whiterangey!

Spongebobette · 22/04/2019 17:10

I have a Younique bot on my friends list on FB

She’s constantly posting photos
In every one the look is ‘I AM WEARING A LOT OF MAKEUP’

Spongebobette · 22/04/2019 17:10

Hilarious Instagram @youniquefail

Jasmin82 · 22/04/2019 17:21

Younique won't push their top bot out. The majority of their presenters are under her. If she gets pushed out, her "team" are so sucked into doing what she says that, if she says to leave, they will. If anyone gets pushed, it will be bots lower down the order, not the very top one.

9dartfinish2nd · 22/04/2019 17:53

@Jasmin82 You seem to have a little insight into the BBC doc, Do any individual bots in either Younique or Nu Skin come under the microscope in any way or is it a general overview of the companies focusing more on the victims stories?

Jasmin82 · 22/04/2019 18:06

I only have what I've been told to go off. It looks to be focusing on the victims stories, but it's possible that the names of some individuals could be mentioned. Given the amount of film that's had to be cut out to get it down to an hour, it will depend on what bits of the interviews they did they include as to whether names are mentioned.

BangingOn · 22/04/2019 18:19

Is Yawn’s house a listed building?

I’m very interested to see how the Younique Bot I follow reacts to the documentary. She’s different to the other Y Bots I’ve come across, very softly spoken middle class, low key elegant on the make up front without the usual spider lashes. Also a talented florist who is great at styling photos and looking aspirational whilst still tasteful (Yawn- take note!)

SnoogyWoo · 22/04/2019 18:43

Think nurse bot needs to ramp it up a bit if she’s to make her millions!

Whiterangey · 22/04/2019 18:44

I think they would push out a top boot to save face. Do the old "she wasn't following our guidelines and that isn't what we tell our bots to do".

Her bots will be passed on to someone else and so many bots leave anyway they won't be worried about a few more.

If it makes the company look better after being torn apart by the beeb I think they would risk getting rid of a top bot.

9dartfinish2nd · 22/04/2019 18:44

Thanks Jasmin, It's right the focus should be on the people who have suffered as a result of these companies but i'd really like to see them go after the companies themselves in a big way especially the founders.
The fact that the BBC have been talking to people over in Utah suggests they are going deep looking into them.

Twentytwentyhindsight · 22/04/2019 19:17

I agree 9Dart. Victims should be centre stage- the fact that there are victims is what makes MLMs more than 'just another business model' - they are the reason this thread exists.

However, the aim should be to deter further potential victims and help current ones realise the truth and move on with their lives.

In order to achieve the latter, it is the companies and poster girls/boys that need to be exposed. Current bots are aware of failures, but are taught that this is because people were unwilling/unable to do what it took to succeed. The heroes they worship, whether CEOs or senior bots need to be taken on for them to see it for the scam it is.

(Even then, many will be brainwashed enough to see it all as the work of malicious haters, but it will hopefully sow seeds of doubt).

Jasmin82 · 22/04/2019 19:30

I know they said that one of the people they talked to about her experience with Younique was very articulate and came across quite well, giving a very good insight into what really goes on. It will be interesting to see how much of her interview is used in the documentary.

Twentytwentyhindsight · 22/04/2019 19:50

Elle Beau, perhaps?

Whiterangey · 22/04/2019 20:54

Hasn't thought of that, it might be her.

The people who talked are amazing, let's be honest, without them speaking up there would be no documentary.

Paddy1234 · 22/04/2019 21:02

Oh fffs Uber - the one comment on your C9 post saying what's this all about is from a supervisor in FL.
Ridiculous and clutching at straws.
