Just a quick question; if I increase my hours at work by 5 hours a week, when I inform tax credits will I be moved to universal credit?
Thanks

No. I've adjusted my hours times and it's never switched me, thank god

Thank you. So pleased, I was actually considering turning down the extra hours if it meant switching to UC

Luckily I've only had to make pretty small changes like hours but the panic has always been there as I believe a new claim for UC would be massively less. I don't get alot on tax credits. We struggle as it is. So a UC claim honestly frightens me

Same here, I tried to work out the amount under UC and was coming out at over £100 a month less and I struggle as it is now. I would do anything to avoid the switch

The Good news then is your change will be absolutely fine x
