The thread where network marketing / multilevel marketing goes local - not global.

Yes, the commission is deliberately complicated using cc as currency, varying percentages etc to hide the truth that there's little profit to be made and huge personal outlay. It's easier to recruit if the reality if what could be earned is hard to work out. Especially as many marks for recruitment are uneducated people (sorry if that sounds harsh, I mean people without loads of qualifications often seem to fall prey to mlm recruitment).

Someone I know asked to join Castle's weight loss page. Bruv shows a pic of 3 different supplements, nectar and aloe goop he takes every day. His own best customer indeed. Sis is on there too making vegetable soup in her kitchen.

gotmychocolateimgood · 17/04/2019 00:17

Isn't it true (eye remember from some info shared here a while back) that in cults the members are kept hungry, sleep deprived, love bombed and confused in order to manipulate them into being more easily influenced in their behaviour.

Our FL bots are constantly hungry from the low calorie c9 plan, living on shakes and mushed up veg plus the odd 300 calorie 'super healthy' meal and feeling a bit ill from aloe goop laxative effect. They are staying up late for trainings scheduled at weird times to keep em tired - these timings are recommended at the training days they pay to go to, masked as 'making the most of your pockets of time'. They are paying to brainwash themselves with podcasts etc in their mindset training, again this 'should be done early in the day' according to the training so they're up at 5am listening to that BS... In this tired, hungry and suggestible state the figures are going to make even less sense and they are more able to convince themselves they're doing well. Add in the persuasion and fake love from upline and boom, putty in their hands. It's evil and brilliantly clever.

Ironic that PhD knows so much about psychology but fails to see this, doncha think?

Whiterangey · 17/04/2019 01:16

PHD rose through the ranks of FLP when it was going through the boom. All you needed was no morals, to be a good salesperson to sell the opportunity, and a decent amount of luck. Homeschool bot was the same.

They were riding through the ranks because their downline was, not due to sales but due to recruitment. Of course there was the sales they and their downline were making by buying the products themselves. Watching the illness make it big and splash the cash made them think they could do it.

Then it reached saturation, the anti mlm movement gained traction on social media and MLM's started to become a swear word.

Now there are virtually no displays of wealth, no designer bags or something of expensive things. Those who had 6 figure cheques are barely making a profit. I doubt homeschool is, PHD obviously wasn't of she wouldn't have left.

I wouldn't be shocked if Yawn is struggling fo break even. I wouldn't be surprised if Castle ended the year with close to nothing after expenses. Uber paid her way to her cheque.

Things are getting worse and worse. Birds are leaving faster, look at roomie and Mrs stickman.

It's doing on its arse and I think some of the top boys are going to start leaving for other companies.

Is only a couple of weeks until the global rally which is going to be very interesting.

Did someone say that the UK cheques are based on UK only income? So if profits on the UK are down the cheques will be less no matter what level they qualified at?

Whiterangey · 17/04/2019 01:17

Some interesting autocorrecting going on in my post.

darceybussell · 17/04/2019 01:41

Thanks Dora, did you say you could usually estimate around £50 per total CC? I can't remember how much you said now but I'm just wondering how much someone who did 1,500 CCs last year and therefore qualified for the global rally could expect to be earning.

Bovneydazzlers · 17/04/2019 07:29

Is a CC agreed on a global basis (in dollar at current exchange rate) or per individual country?

If it's set in dollars, that will have had a massive impact on UK fortunes since 2015.

If a CC is $160 wholesale (from this)

www.foreverlivingwholesale.com/how-to-calculate-your-personal-discount/

in 2015 this would have been approx £105 wholesale cost in UK, now it's more like £122. Big Jump.

£122 if someone is on the 35% pay band would mean retailing £228 retail (after vat).

So for manager level in UK on 1500 ccs

Say 100 personal cc at 48% (£190 x 48% x 100) (9k)

Say an average of 8% commission on down line (£21k). Not sure of rate to use, depends on level.

Less personal use products (1 cc per month advised by forever living...) - £2.5k

Less deliveries to customers, attending training, hosting, trial boxes, free samples £2k.

About £25k before tax if you don't qualify for Chairman's Bonus. For a very full time job. I think I'll stick to my day job.

Norma27 · 17/04/2019 08:36

I’m loving the interaction on bots forever shite posts likely. They are lucky to get a couple of comments or likes nowadays.
I’m getting more excited for the global rally each day.

Whiterangey · 17/04/2019 08:36

I've found a pdf from Bloodsuckers company which states a cc is worth about £141 wholesale and a out £200 retail.

It then goes into great detail in what you must do to be successful, including writing down the names of 100 people to contact about the opportunity.

My thoughts went to yesterday evening when I came home and saw my neighbour outside, we were having an interesting and informative chat. Okay we were gossiping, another neighbour went to leave their house and they joined in as did another neighbour returning home from work. Based on what I've been reading that would have been an ideal time to share the opportunity. In reality that would have been three neighbour's who would check to see I'm not about before leaving their homes so they don't bump into me.

It keeps going on about the importance of 4cc's.

Teddy1970 · 17/04/2019 08:45

I saw a video from last year that states they now they need to be 5cc active each month. What a joke...

9dartfinish2nd · 17/04/2019 10:08

Stockholm is going to be a PR disaster for the UK bots and even Alistair Campbell would blush at the amount of spin that is going to be needed to keep up the image of success.

The small matter of a high profile BBC documentary looming as well which I expect will be far more damning than the short FLP/Valentus piece that BBC Stories ran about 18 months ago.

Social media caused the boom and now with the Anti MLM movement gaining huge strides it's going to be it's downfall.

Norma27 · 17/04/2019 10:21

I keep forgetting about the bbc documentary. Does anybody have any idea when it will be aired?

OhMyGodTheyKilledKenny · 17/04/2019 10:29

100 people to contact about the opportunity

Whiterangey I was just thinking about this too and how there is no way on this earth I could do it.

I wouldn't want to socially isolate myself by being "that person" that school mums avoid or acquaintances cross the street to avoid.

I would be embarrassed to be stand there and tell people that I have the answer to their problems in the form of overpriced aloe gunk.

i would feel guilty that I'm introducing people to something where 99% of those involved lose money.

I would not want my days out with family/coffee with friends/shopping/walk in the park to be ruined by looking for and talking to the latest prospect.

Imagine being responsible for someone giving up their job to sign up with you and then it all goes tits up for them ?! Sad

I would not want that sort of life. Jeez I wouldn't sleep at night

Norma27 · 17/04/2019 11:04

Homeschool has set an incentive for a pool party at her house. It looks like victims need to maintain 4cc May and June.
The way the ‘bizniz’ works, does this mean people will want to be seen to qualify so they will purchase 4cc of product themselves? Especially as forever shite is dead in its arse and there is no way people can sign up enough people or sell enough gloop.

Norma27 · 17/04/2019 11:05

I agree Kenny. I’m already a terrible sleeper. I wouldn’t get a single wink of sleep if I was conning people out of their money too.

Spongebobette · 17/04/2019 11:08

This is EXACTLY how the 'team incentives' work.

I see it all the time. The reward often being..... a Forever Living product!! (all helps the upline make their own CCs!)

Bots post 'I've been challenged to sell 100 lip salves! Who will help me?

Spongebobette · 17/04/2019 11:13

Imagine being the neighbours of Homeschool, those houses are close together, the noise of 'pool parties'...huns screeching etc

eeeek

gotmychocolateimgood · 17/04/2019 11:29

So a teamie purchases 4cc of product to qualify for an incentive (a huge amount of product) and is rewarded with a free c9? More stock they can't sell! Their garages must be bursting at the seams with aloe crap.

9dartfinish2nd · 17/04/2019 11:29

@norma27 Can't remember who it was but someone on here suggested it was possibly only weeks away from being aired.

The focus on this is supposedly on the victims, The original companies under the microscope were FLP, Younique and Nu Skin.

Clearly depending on the response of those who came forward to talk to the BBC, they may focus on one of the companies more than the other two but I do know they were looking for people in Utah to talk to them (Where Younique and Nu Skin have their HQ's) so it would suggest they are going deep into the MLM heartland to learn more about them.

www.reddit.com/r/MLMRecovery/comments/an5q32/mlm_bbc_documentary/

SnoogyWoo · 17/04/2019 11:45

Wonder how the top bots will spin the documentary or will they just ignore it.

Spongebobette · 17/04/2019 12:00

I know that the uplines tell their minions not to look at negative things (eg Mumsnet threads) because, ya know, surround yourself only with positivity etc etc

If that’s were me, I’d be really curious about what I wasn’t supposed to look at and I’d be straight in there!!!

9dartfinish2nd · 17/04/2019 12:10

The uplines will do everything possible to get them away from negative comments, articles, even people. They know that once the bot regains their ability to think critically they will see the light and quit.

Sadly some people go so deep it leaves huge emotional damage to deal with once reality finally kicks in.

fromdownwest · 17/04/2019 12:15

Our educated Bots latest post on how to deal with overwhelm

'Drink white wine, joking, not joking'

What a completely irresponsible thing to do with a 'Dr' in your title, and a proclaimed lifestyle coach.

Dealing with depression, anxiety etc is a complex and serious situation for many people.

So her advice is drink wine and write things down. I'd happily pay £5k for that advice....

BangingOn · 17/04/2019 13:51

For any of you on Instagram, fab_salesdoll is a brilliant MLM/Lularoe parody account. Genius.

Whiterangey · 17/04/2019 13:56

We are all human here. When we post and someone comments that we made an excellent post or words to that effect we feel good. It makes us feel we belong here and accepted and that we are liked.

As humans we like that whole love shit.

That happening to maximum level multiple times a day will leave you relying on the person giving you love to keep doing it. So you do what you know will keep getting you the love.

Here you won't find love if you are in an MLM. We have no hate for bots and see them as victims and we want to help. The upline paint us differently. Whether we are bitter because we failed at MLM or are just jealous at others success or whatever.

Unless a bot is having doubts we won't make a difference. They may remember what they have read when they start to have doubts, but while fully botted the only voice they hear is their upline.

The uplines are terrified of us, with good reason.

The emotional damage is terrible, especially when someone has been in for years, I've been reduced to tears at some of the stories before.

SnoogyWoo · 17/04/2019 15:02

Love bombing at its worst!
