Grrrr!
DH has old credit card, unused for ages, account in credit to a whole £8.50!
Fed up with getting statements etc and want to close it.
Can I find an address to send the letter to, on the statements or the website? Can I buggary!
Can I just send it to the local branch (even if the account was opened somewhere else?)

Can you not just cut the card up and return all the post - 'Return to Sender, address unknown, no such number, no such zone'. Sorry I got carried away, .

Nope, because we would like to be repaid the £8.50! (Nice singing though )

Ring them up. Most will let you cancel on the phone. I cancel one every couple of months this way.

Really!? I thought it had to be in writing? Or is that just for currentaccounts maybe? Will try the phone then!

They will only let the cardholder cancel it of course.....so you can't do it unless you have a really really deep voice!
