I can’t see any sign up offers on either atm

littleblackno · 18/08/2019 09:42

I’ve been matched betting for about 6 weeks and have made about £400 on top of that I have made another £400 on slots Shock I think it was total fluke though as i made £305 on one slot site over the course of a week- from a £10 bet.
I also have been doing a lot of the slot/ casino offers when I sign up and usually come out with between £10-£30 per go. I can see how they could be really addictive but I get really bored of them if they are not paying me out any money so just cash them in after I use the free spins.
I am working my way through the start up offers on odds monkey but haven’t attempted an accumulator yet. Are they much more complicated?

maxbabi · 18/08/2019 19:35

@littleblackno
Did you sign up and pay a deposit for the slot /casino sites?
Is there one or five you recommend?
Just started match betting and enjoying so far.

littleblackno · 18/08/2019 19:45

I have usually been using the casino side to any of the sites I sign up to as they often offer free spins as well as the free bet.
I used Wink app when I won the large amount. I find I seem to win more late at night so being Ann insomniac has its benefits!!

maxbabi · 18/08/2019 20:21

That's interesting!! 😁
I just won £21 so quickly withdrew it before I lost it.

TheOvulator · 18/08/2019 21:21

I'm just dipping my toe into casinos.

I have wagered £20, and have been given £20 in bonus funds.

I have been playing the bloody slot machines, for about an hour and a half, and my initial stake is still hovering around the £20 mark. How on earth do I access the bonus £20? Do I actually have to lose my initial stake in order to be able to play it? I will in a bit, lose a bit, but my cash never goes above £22, and never go below about £10 before going back up again.

I have wagered my initial stake many, many, many times, but haven't wagered my bonus at all because I haven't been able to get my hands on it!

Countrygirl38 · 19/08/2019 08:42

Hi everyone,
I have never done a matched bet before but desperately need to raise an extra few hundred pounds as quick as I can. I am thinking of joining Profit Accumulator. Could anyone tell me what amount I could realistically get in a month of matched betting. I am time rich but don't have alot of money to start if off with.

maxbabi · 19/08/2019 09:50

@TheOvulator
I asked via the chat and they told me my cash would be used up before using the bonus amount. I had made some money so withdrew it (takes days). Once the cash is gone you lose the bonus.

NeedSleepNow · 21/08/2019 19:40

Does anyone know if income from matched betting affects tax credit eligibility? I know money from gambling isn't classed as income for tax purposes but is it classed as income for means tested benefits like tax credits or universal credit?

EatYourTeaNow · 30/08/2019 21:47

I made £30 on slots tonight on my first real go at Casino, I'm so excited!

I thought I'd share it on here casino wins aren't the sort of thing I feel I can talk about in real life Grin

MorrisZapp · 18/09/2019 08:20

Following! Do you get endless spam and adverts from bookies?

maxbabi · 18/09/2019 08:51

Yes but there are great offers in there. Most set up an email just for match betting.

watermelongin · 18/09/2019 09:53

have just started it 2 days ago!
Just wondering how much deposit you start with?
I start with £500 which I think is slightly too much...but the profit came in quicker than I expect!

missbattenburg · 18/09/2019 15:03

I started with about £1000 - but this was mainly because:

a) I wanted high amounts in my lay accounts to cover me
b) I wanted to limit how often I withdrew winnings from accounts to reduce the attention (and gubbing)

The early day profits are great but it's really worth taking your time to really understand the theory so that when offers get harder you have a good amount of knowledge to navigate them.

watermelongin · 18/09/2019 15:36

Yes I can see that it's getting hard, and I am learning more about Acca now... :/

missbattenburg · 18/09/2019 16:33

@EatYourTeaNow please be careful with that casino/slots stuff. Money to be made but very, very easy to slide down a slope you don't want to go down.

The key is cold, hard discipline and not letting your heart overtake your head.

Only play the offers with EV+. Don't just gamble unless you are prepared to lose your £.

Sorry if you know all that, Just wanted to throw out a warning in case.

missbattenburg · 18/09/2019 16:41

@TheOvulator I tend to work out the expected EV and then stop as soon as I hit that in either direction. Even if I have not yet touched my bonus.

e.g. If you have £20 bonus money then it can be too tempting to think you will get to keep all £20. That's gambling.

However, if you have to wager it 30x on a slot with 97% RTP, then the odds say it is really just worth £8.

As soon as I am up by £8, I stop and cancel the bonus. If I lose £8 of my own money then I stop.

I know others insist on playing the deal through to the end because you need the chance of high wins to balance out the times you crash out. However, I am much more cautious and hate losing so would prefer to know I have made £8 than risk it for the chance to win more.

However, I also tend to avoid any deals where I must use my own cash before the bonus is used.

MatchyMatch · 18/09/2019 21:22

I'm new to Matched Betting. Working my way thru the PA guide now. Ive done my bets with Coral, initial plus bonus and all was well. Next I registered with BetFred and did my initial £10 bet which has now settled. I understand they will credit the £30 bonus after 10 hours which is fine and hasn't passed yet but I did receive a text from them asking me to verify my phone number in order to receive my bonus - is this legit? Do I have to do this to get the bonus?

EatYourTeaNow · 18/09/2019 21:36

@missbattenburg thank you for the advice, really helpful stuff.

To be honest I haven't done much casino since - on the odd time I've tried I've lost all the bonus money before having completed the wagering requirements.

I've seen that YesQueen makes lots on casino, which did get me interested in it, but it's not risk free which I'm still not sure about. Also it takes so long to complete the wagering requirements! Even when I set slots on autospin it seems to take forever, and each time I've tried it the bonus money has been lost before I can get it out. I've not been tempted to add my own money to keep going though, which I guess is the kind of thing you were talking about.

missbattenburg · 18/09/2019 21:43

Yep. By all means risk the bonus money but be cautious about risking your own.

Crashing out trying to complete wagering (losing all the bonus money) is normal - the idea is that every now and again you won't and so will make £.

MatchyMatch · 20/09/2019 10:52

Do you guys pay for the PA premium? I've just finished the free trial offers and paid £1 for initial access but wondering if it's really worth £18 a month after that?

fromdownwest · 20/09/2019 15:22

@matchymatch - I personally preferred oddsmonkey.

I do find these invaluable, even on 2 or 3 bets, they make their money by showing me the smallest lay to bet spread with any given parameter.

Plus saves so much time!

MatchyMatch · 20/09/2019 17:36

Great, thanks. I will do my one week trial with PA and then look at them. I was thinking that not having access to the oddsmatcher would be a pain. Plus I'm still learning - today I accidentally ended up with an unmatched bet on Betfair and I was very relieved to see PA had clear instructions on how to fix it.

fromdownwest · 20/09/2019 20:04

Yeah, it is easily done. Make it part of your checks to ensure that the sum under the lay odds is above your stake. Smile

MatchyMatch · 21/09/2019 20:32

Another one from me :)

Up till now I've 'lost' all my bets so that all my money ended up in BetFair - which was ideal. I've just 'won' one, it used up most of my liability so now I have £150 in BetFred - I know this will happen, I've asked to withdraw all £150 and will put it back into BetFair but they say they are processing it subject to 'our standard checks' and it will take upto 7 days to reach my bank account. Is this right? I can afford to use other money in the meantime but now I'm slightly concerned that they won't give me my £150 for some reason?
