Switched account - Tell ExH?

Sorry if this is a bit dim: My daughter's father pays a regular amount every Friday. I've switched current accounts and all my DDs and SOs seem to have come across fine.

I need to get in touch with ExH don't I to advise him of the current account switch? I had a letter from Original bank today letting me know they'll close my current account when the switching process is complete.

I haven't heard from him in 2.5 years (DD is 6) aside from his payments. Oh flipping heck. Why did I switch.

Will the money just get returned to his account if I dont let him know?

Thanks

Yes, his payment will be returned if your old account closes.
You could get in touch with your old bank and ask them not to close the account while you figure out what to do re telling him?

If you've done the seven day switch service (which you probably have if you've switched between two of the big banks), payments made to your old bank will automatically redirect to the new one for 13 months.

So you do need to let him know, but there wouldn't be a rush.

Thank you. 13 months sounds do-able :)

This weeks payment appeared in my new bank so that's positive!
