Customer compliance interview

Hi,
I had a customer compliance interview yesterday as I claim housing benefit (I'm a single parent) and someone phoned them up to say my boyfriend lives with me. We know exactly who phoned up and I explained my situation to the customer compliance officer. I did say my bf stays over sometimes mainly over the weekend etc. He was very nice, the interview didn'tast long and at the end he said he's happy with the information he received. Got my statement and I asked what's next. He said nothing, case closed.
Today when my bf wanted to come over he noticed a council van outside my flats (I wasn't home so he ended up going home) .
Coincidence? I have a feeling it isn't.
Does anyone know if they say case is closed does it actually mean it's closed or do they follow it up any way?
I don't mind if they do but stresses me out as they said its closed.
I appreciate any helpful answers :)
