I am currently on mat leave which ends mid August although I am using annual leave to not return until early October. I have just been looking into the tax free childcare scheme that the government top up and am not sure when is best for me to actually apply for this? Can I set up the account now and start paying into it or does it have to be closer to the time I return to work? If anyone can advise would be appreciated! Thanks
