Jewelry valuation?

Hi all,

My DSis, DM, Daunt and I were left some jewelry (rings mostly) when my nan passed last year. The items.have sentimental value but we would be interested to know if they have any monetary value, any idea where would be the best place to go for a valuation. Can you get free valuations?

We also have two diamond chips, one oval and one circular, would these be worth getting valued do you think?

If you pop into an independent jeweller they should be able to give you a free rough, informal valuation of what they think the pieces might be worth if you wanted to sell them.

However, you should be aware that used jewellery goes for a fraction of its retail price.
