Hi,

I wonder what are your expenses arrangements as a couple?

DD works full time
DM full time term time only to suit covers for half terms with children

Do you share all expenses in your house hold? If not, what is youwr agreement pls?

Just need to check with others about this situation.
thank you

Do you mean dad works full time and mum term time only? DD is dear daughter and DM is dear mother.

Assuming you mean the above I would expect all money to be joint. The mother is working term time and providing free childcare for children in the holidays which enables the husband to work full time. If mother wasn't around he would need to pay for that childcare.

Also when you are in a couple and live together it is nonsense for one person to have dramatically more disposable income than the other.

I too am assuming DD means the husband, and DM is the wife.

In this household, currently MrWave earns all the money. It all goes into joint accounts (2 currencies) and I can access it as freely as he can. I generally check there are no plans (like bills) to come out before I make a purchase over about £100 if its unusual spending. But we both have free access to it- and I guess technically he pays all the bills, even if I do the physical transfer!

When we both earnt, all money went into the joint account, and we both spent freely.

We have the advantage of an income level where every penny doesn't need to be accounted for, however.

That's good enough, thank you for your advises.

I'm trying to figure out what to do about mine.

thank you
