Hi my father is 80 and is receiving living disability for copd. I’m wondering if anyone knows if motor disability is worth it

Is he on PIP, DLA or attendance allowance?

If on attendance allowance (which he will be if he began claiming since turning 65) there is no mobility payment so he would not be able to have motorbility.

If on PIP or DLA would need to have mobility component as well as care, see the following link

www.motability.co.uk/contact-and-support/faqs/if-im-over-65-can-i-still-join-the-motability-scheme

If he is eligible, he would need to weigh up the value of a car versus the loss of monetary benefits so would depend on circumstance.
