Would a small pay rise trigger a move from tax credits to universal credit?

Just that really. Work 18hrs a week and a slight change in role would give me a small pay rise.
But I'm worrying this will force me into universal credit and all the fuss that entails (lone parent).

No, you would have to have a change of circumstances. So losing your job, or claiming a new benefit eg now needing help with rent that you didn't get before, or sometimes moving to a new area. Just changing figures for your salary won't trigger a move to UC.
