Council house application

So just need advice. Thanks in advance for anyone who offers it me. I would appreciate no judgement please as at the moment is just not going to be helpful.
So I live in a 3 bed council property. I've lived here for just over 8 years. But we are overcrowded here, and I'm sleeping on a sofa bed in the living room. We don't have a separate dining room so it's not as if I can use one as a bedroom. I'm pregnant so it's going to make the situation worse. I've just found out but I'll be around 11 weeks ( I've been through a lot this last year and I've not been thinking straight at all.)
My husband left me and my children and started a new relationship with another woman and treated me very badly. He was emotionally abusive throughout our marriage and it got to the point I couldn't make a decision on my own. This is his baby, he lied to me excessively since he left and was still abusive so now I'm in this position. But what I want to ask is, do I add this pregnancy to my housing application now or will it not make a difference anyway because I'm not that far along yet? I don't just want to move due to the overcrowding I also want to move due to DV and I don't want him knowing where I live as I will using a contact centre for him to see the children as I have text message proof he was abusive. Can anyone offer any advice I would be grateful ?

Statutory overcrowding regulations don't count a baby until it is over one years old, and then children between one and ten count as half a person - so adding your baby is unlikely to make much of a difference, but you could mention it when you start getting meetings.

Have you mentioned the DV? If you reported it the police/doctors at the time and can take evidence of that, that should be taken into account, as well as the text messages.

Has your overcrowding application been accepted?

I hope things get easier for you.

@AnchorDownDeepBreath
Thank you whats very helpful

Yes my overcrowding application has been accepted and I've been on the list since 25 Oct 2017 but when I bid for houses I'm very far down. I just bid every week.
I've not reported it to the police but I'm going to speak to my midwife when I register and get my booking appointment as I'll have no choice but to explain it as I want to ask her if I can have my booking appointment somewhere other than my home because I've not told him about this pregnancy because he will force me to have an abortion which I refuse to do, I've thought long and she's about it and I'm prepared to go through the hard times if I have to. If anyone sees the midwife come to my house and he finds out Rhys won't help.
