Universal credit

I started a claim for universal credit in December. I got my first payment on Jan 9th. I was wondering when you can see how much you are gonna get paid ? I got 928 last month. But since then my husband job didn't work out so he is actively seeking again. He has been reporting every job he applies for so all good. Last time I could see 7 days before we were paid and I still can't see anything yet ?? Ideas?? I need to know cos I'm moving house at the start of March so need to organise money for rent etc

It's usually 6 days before you are due to get payment. Did your husband report that he isn't working. Check there is nothing outstanding in your 'to do' list that could be blocking payment. if it isn't there tomorrow then give them a ring.

Mine has varied from 3-5 days before, if memory serves me correctly. And my amount is also dependent on earnings/ childcare payments (which are sometimes included as I expect and sometimes not) so the amount varies. For these reasons I too have found it difficult to plan. I'm grateful for what I do get but never know if I'm coming or going. Hopefully tomorrow yours might be up.

Yes when it didn't work out he reported it and he went in for a meeting at job centre that was all good. He has been applying and he has been showing that he is trying to get a job. He has been recording it on his journal as we don't want a payment to be stopped when he is doing the right thing
