Hi all. Newly single here. As a couple as claimed UC. Took a long time to get sorted but did eventually. My question is, I now have to change my circumstance to declare he no longer lives here. Am I gonna have to wait 5 weeks for money again? Or is it fairly simple changing to a single claim?

No you shouldn't need to wait 5 weeks. Have you reported a change in circumstances on your journal ? I think your payment date should stay the same. I'm not sure at what point your joint couples rate switches to single - I assume from the start of the next assessment period.

Oh lovely thank you. No not yet, will do tonight. That's a huge relief! That wait for it all to come was awful first time round
