The continuing crusade to expose the underhand tactics used to lure (mainly) women into exploitative schemes using the lure of 'financial independence'.

I got invited to an ENJO party last year. I said no after realising it was MLM and seeing the ridiculous prices for a Microfibre cloth (£17!!)Shock

Happymac1 · 21/02/2019 21:41

I thought it was. I have my first bot in my friendship group then. It is relentless. Today she posted pics which are clearly nonsense.

Spongebobette · 21/02/2019 21:42

Yes!!! I miss Dannniiiiiiiii terribly

acatcalledjohn · 21/02/2019 22:19

Hi hi hiiiiiiiiiii!

YouokHun · 21/02/2019 22:20

Yes, I miss Dannniiii and her mindset coaching. I also miss India (double barrelled second name escapes me). I feel like a wingless flappy pigeon without them.

Teddy1970 · 21/02/2019 23:24

So Castle isn't bowing out of FL, she's going to try and come back stronger with a new mindset coach apparently, I thought she at least had the brains to realise that the heady days of half a million pound cheques are long gone.

UmBankroll · 21/02/2019 23:26

I just read through this entire thread and skimmed a few of the previous ones too, and although I have no idea who all the fabulously codenamed characters really are, I could absolutely relate each one to different people I’ve come across (and been approached by) on social media pedalling Nu Skin over the past year or so. Isn’t it both hilarious and terrifying that these bots are so easily categorised and stereotyped across all the various MLM scams?!

What really worries me about the Nu Skin ‘dream’ being sold on Instagram is that there are several very high-profile influencers with large followings of (mostly) young girls pushing it at every possible second. They promote it as the miracle fix to everything: acne, student loan debt, a ‘boss bitch’ career for life... I’m concerned as to how many impressionable young girls will actually give up on their education and end up in financial trouble with nothing to fall back on as they try to pursue this virtually impossible ‘dream’.

Coached · 22/02/2019 07:22

I’ve been an on/off reader of your 40+ threads for a couple of years.

Just did a quick search of Hanzz+Heidi, a Swiss skincare line, which was mentioned briefly back in May 2018.

I’ve now got 2 friends on my social media plugging these products Hmm

Is it an MLM?
There is definitely a reward scheme but I can’t tell if the reward is only points to buy the skinscare, and not money/bonuses being paid out.

I love how yawn believes it is a privilege to be handed one of her ‘bizniz’ cards!
I’ve never seen anything like them before.
I would feel so lucky to get one that I would laugh in her face and rip it up.
She is so deluded!

JasperRising · 22/02/2019 07:49

The company behind Hanz and Heidi is Enhanzz which was set up by some experienced direct sellers. Their website is suitably wordy (without saying anything) but scroll down enough and you get to the mention of the segmented 3.0 compensation plan and the 13 income streams. There's even a diagram that I don't understand but it is 3 concentric circles so definitely not a pyramid....

ArbunneHun · 22/02/2019 08:04

India Backe-Hander and her sons Herriot and Harsehöle (the Nordic god of Pilates).

I was so sorry to lose those lives when Timeless Vie was shut down...

YouokHun · 22/02/2019 08:46

@ArbunneHun thanks for the reminder. I’m still irritated that a few Huns can get together and get an FB Page like TV taken down when I see what’s allowed to remain on FB.

Teddy1970 · 22/02/2019 08:48

Yawn's bizniz cards are a joke...what's with the "World Traveller"? Is that her way of informing everyone she's an economy cabin?

9dartfinish2nd · 22/02/2019 09:56

@UmBankroll NuSkin are also in the the same boat as Forever Living in my opinion. A saturated UK market has resulted in high profile bots turning their attention away from the UK and they are now desperately targeting Australia, NZ and South Africa for new recruits.

Some of the top bots who have been sitting comfortably these past few years may now just be a few drop-outs away from hunbot armageddon.

CheekySmile · 22/02/2019 10:14

I found the business card of one of Yawn’s downline last month. It was wedged into the advert on the back of a toilet door in Ikea, and has a handwritten note on the blank side. I didn’t feel privileged to discover it there, I felt desperately sorry for her.

danbarnes · 22/02/2019 11:11

I hope Dannii pops on again sometime soon. She hasn't popped on for ages. Hope all is OK with her biz and that she isn't having to hide anything from us.

Awholeheapofnothing · 22/02/2019 11:19

It seems that many of the ones that got cheques a couple of years ago are no longer with FLP or have become coaches?
Is this why to make Manager now you have to recruit an entire neighbourhood in order to succeed?
The lucky 1% and it is 1% were lucky enough to make money - are now struggling with crippling debts, over spent credit cards and higher mortgages - worse still broken families and marriages!
This industry is insidious, full of greed and bereft of any compassion.

CatherineCookson · 22/02/2019 12:57

So Wig and Sleaze are on $$$$ a day (sure they were on that with recyclebot that they've forgot to mention recently). A Manchester office for FX Trading Corp is coming too.

Wonder if the taxman and establishment will be able to find them if they're in that office.

wildwildwest1 · 22/02/2019 13:08

Can someone please pm me with who yawn and welshie are please!

I did have them before on Facebook but I’ve lost them again as it’s been a few months. I fancy a Friday evening of catching up!

Whiterangey · 22/02/2019 13:18

The $$$$ are just numbers on a screen, that money doesn't actually exist. They will err d up losing money on this ponzi like they do with all the others.

This time they are pretty high up in the ponzi, not high enough to come out as a net winner but high enough that I wouldn't want to be them when it all goes wrong. There are going to be many people blaming them for their losses and they will be very angry.

Ponzi's appear to be having quite a short life span at the moment, probably because there are so many of them so I'm guessing this one won't last long.

UmBankroll · 22/02/2019 15:09

@9dartfinish2nd Yes I’ve noticed a lot of them making ‘exciting announcements’ that they are ‘expanding their business ventures’ to Australia and the US in particular... In fact there’s one particularly high-up NuSkin bot who keeps trying to contact me to become the ‘first distributor in my region’ - because the country where I live doesn’t allow MLM thank god. She keeps saying she can help me find ways around it 🙄 all sounds rather desperate and delusional to me.

I shall grab my popcorn, sit back and watch it all implode over the coming months.

9dartfinish2nd · 22/02/2019 15:30

@UmBankroll I find the targeting and recruitment of American bots hilarious as Nu Skin now make 75% of their revenue in the Far East and Asia. North America counts for a tiny percentage of their revenue and given that it's a Utah based organisation this tells you the US market bottomed out a long long time ago. Famous US journalist Barbara Walters called them out in a tv current affairs show back in the early 90's and distributors left in droves.

9dartfinish2nd · 22/02/2019 15:37

@UmBankroll Glad to hear MLM's are banned in your country, I know Nu Skin ceased in Turkey in June 2017 but don't know if that was forced upon them by regulation or if they took this decision by themselves.

UmBankroll · 22/02/2019 16:03

@9dartfinish2nd Just shows how clueless most of these bots are... unless they are so brainwashed that they truly believe they can tap into a new generation of potential bots (who have probably never even heard of Barbara Walters) by virtue of their Instagram influence.

The particular bot I’ve been regularly contacted by is actually a member of an entire family of bots, and sells an incredibly cynical success story. She and her OH own an interior design company, which she was able to ‘quit’ thanks to the ‘incredible business opportunity’ presented to her... She tried to convince her family members to join her in her new venture but they were all skeptical; particularly one DSis who ‘cut her off for 4 months’ over it. Funnily enough, that DSis miraculously then changed her mind and ‘hit the top of the compensation plan’ (called Blue Diamond) within just 6 months of signing up. Said DSis already had upwards of 100k (young female) followers on Instagram, and her own fashion line which was bought out in a takeover a couple of years ago. They then recruited another DSis, and their DF - on whom I did a little bit of googling, only to find out he was the founder of a large sportswear company. So they clearly already had family money, hence the fancy cars and huge houses. It’s absolutely all smoke and mirrors. I was drawn into the conversation for a while, more out of curiosity than anything, and the training material and ‘inspo images’ they shared were laughable. Claiming that the average monthly earnings of a Blue Diamond were £28,000 and all sorts. I once asked how they go about setting up - whether they register as sole traders or an Ltd. or what, and the reply I got was ‘oh no hun you don’t have to do anything like that, it’s all covered under the umbrella of the business xx’ Hmm

Astounding. Indeed it’s one of the better bans/laws they have in place in my country of residence.

spanfan · 22/02/2019 17:19

I can't quite work out what car yawn has.

In other news where can I put my bottle of water to appeal?

I thought my luxury yacht? 😂😂😂😂😂
