Bank Refund and Issues

Hi all, please no judging as was desperate at the time and didn’t have any other option at the time.

Got myself into a bit of a pickle financially when I lost my job in August last year, just before then I took out a payday/short term loan. Stepchange advised me to cancel all CPAs, so I did. Or I thought I did, but my bank still let one of them go through.

I asked to bank to refund while they investigate, as it was their error I believed. They refunded, and they managed to get the money back from the lender that they refunded. Further discussions with StepChange, sorting it all out.

Comes to today and I’ve just had a notice that my account is overdrawn massively because my bank have debited the refund.

What do I do? The refund dispute was settled, surely with my working with StepChange it is not my banks issue how this was sorted?

Is there anyone who can shed any advice on what to do next?
