Just a rant really as want to get it off my chest.
I am so fucking fed up with being so broke.
I work but seems like I am just working to pay off bills. I never have anything spare left over. Goddammit I even cut my own hair!
Everyone else seems to be rolling in it. Next door neighbours constantly having work done to their house even though they have 3 kids.
Just fed up really.

It sounds really hard. Is there anything you can do to improve your income? Promotion? Does you work encourage/provide training?

Don't try to keep up with other people. We are all on our own financial journey, you don't know how much debt next door is using, or what inheritance has occurred.

Get yourself on a plan for turning your own finances around. Decide what you will spend money on before you do so - have a cash flow plan. Have a plan for increasing income, cutting back on expenses is great but what makes the most difference is increasing income at least on a temporary basis so you can knock out debts.

I work with a few mortgage free (aged 30 - 35 year olds) who gave cleaners and buy anything they want. It is hard not to compare.

Practical solutions- can you earn extra money? Ironing service or whatever? It sounds like you cannot cut back anymore if you cut your hair and that's hard.

OP I totally get this, as someone who constantly feels skint too. It's hard not to compare.

Everyone else seems to be rolling in it.
They are living the lie
Most households are in debt
just some are in utter denial

ignore others and live for yourself
