Switching bank accounts

Hi I am thinking of switching bank accounts, however I will be looking to get a first time mortage in about 10months to 1 year. Will switching banks have much affect on credit score or chances? My experian score is currently in the excellent range, although I know that doesnt really mean much and have been with my current bank over 10 years.

Switching shouldn't have any impact at all on a mortgage application.

Use the 7 day switch service to make sure that any payments don't go astray, and your old current account is closed so it doesn't look like you have access to two overdrafts (if you have them).
