Car Insurance: 1 Car, 2 Drivers & 2 No Clains Bonuses

DH & I share a car - both using our bikes a lot

We used to have 2 cars and 2 no claims bonuses

I insured the car this last year and was planning on insuring the car in DH's name this year and carry on alternating

But is there a better way to do this to keep the NCB

It's there a main driver? Whoever drives it the most should be the main driver. Does the insurance provider let a named driver increase their no claims as not all do?

No main driver

Neither of us have a job, and when I was working last summer I cycled to work

Both of our NC are full (9years?)

Who is the owner and registered keeper of the car? Just ensure you declare that if is not the owner/reg keeper who will be insuring the car

I renewed it but it's annoying

There must be a company who can come up with a shared policy - after all it's greener to have just one car

If you're married you can alternate the policy holder every year. It makes no difference who is on the v5 when you're married.

That is what we are having to do

it's annoying
