I'm posting for a friend..
My friends husband died in 2003 she has been getting parents widow allowance, she thinks this will stop when her ds reaches 18 or if she was to re marry. Her ds is approaching 17, has left school and is working part time not an apprenticeship until he starts college later this month , her child benefit stopped. But we've just had a google and it looks like the widows allowance should have also stopped ... but hasn't yet.. will the child benefit re start when he's back at college and she also gets working tax credit which I said I think should have stopped when he left school about 7 weeks ago .. she's concerned she's going to get a hefty iou back .. I've told her to ring dwp ... anyone know the ins and outs
