I can’t think why this would be? Always gets me worried when things like this happen. I’d be due it on the 28th and checked everywhere I can for change of payment dates, but only seen somewhere say if due on the 28th then it will be paid the 27th. Why would it be in today?

This time of year the payments are always on funny days, it'll be back to normal after new year

They’ve accounted for two days bank holiday (Xmas day and Boxing Day) and aimed to have it with you on the 27th. The banking system hasn’t needed the extra two days so it’s arrived today

Mine is paid monthly so was on time but housing benefit went in really really early (due end of month, went in on the 22nd!) Same with my wages which went in a week early

I just moved it to another account and i'll move back on the day it's supposed to go in

Sometimes payments just go in early, it isn’t anything to worry about; although I remember how stressful I found CTC so I do sympathise!

Ahh, ok. Thanks, your posts make sense. I shall treat it is as if it’s friday and be careful with it lol. The temptation to see it as extra money is totally there.
