If I liked Microsoft Money what other program would work for me?

So my new laptop won't run MM and anyway although I believed I was backing up MM on every use the backups didn't work!

We have a variety of bank accounts and card accounts that I like to track and particularly liked being able to set up all regular transactions such as direct debits to show up 3 days ahead so I could see where the balances were going to be. I didn't use automatic bank feeds but I would like to now if possible.

Can anyone recommend anything similar/better?

There's a nifty free program called VT cash book. It was written for small businesses, but has a "home" chart of accounts for recording household bills etc. The beauty of it is that it's ideal for recording/monitoring transfers between bank accounts. You can download it for free from their website vtsoftware.co.uk. (No I'm not linked to them, I use it daily in my accounting practice and for my own home finances).
