failed twice

please could you tell me if you know a city with driving test centre that has a bit high pass rate? I live in Suffolk and so far I failed twice and I fear I will fail again unless I change to a different test centre.

I checked the website and Scotland has high pass rate, especially certain cities/villages, compared to England,
Money matters. I spent so much money with no result so far, I mean no licence.

You would be better off practicing and getting competent. Test centres pass to a standard, not a count!

To fail twice isn’t abnormal.
I’d focus your efforts and money on driving where you’re used to.

Going to another test centre does not guarantee you a pass, even if the pass percentages are higher.

Aberystwyth.

Are you doing Lowestoft, OP?

Can’t help you, but my husband passed (before I met him) after two fails in one TC in his home county, he took his successful test in one in the county next door. Don’t think it was on purpose, it was just where there happened to be space.

NoSquirrels · 06/12/2018 23:08

You’d spend so much more money travelling to a different part of the country, getting a car to take your test in there (as your instructor wouldn’t be available etc), you wouldn’t have practised the test routes so everything would be unfamiliar... and it’s not unusual to pass third, fourth or even fifth time.

Why do you think your local test centre is difficult? Are there specific issues you need practise with?

HeddaGarbled · 06/12/2018 23:09

It’s not unusual to fail twice. You’d be better focussing on improving your competence rather than trying to game the system. You need lots and lots of practice in between lessons.

Lazypuppy · 10/12/2018 17:06

Surely the most obvious answer is you need to keep practising as you are obviously not good enough to pass yet

I finally passed on my 4th test! - After my 2nd I was worried that the examiners would see that I failed twice already and judge me before I started but my instructor told me that they dont know anything about passed tests and they judge you on that one only.

I think going somewhere else is a little OTT, just carry on with your lessons, get more confident and go again. I know someone who passed on their 10th test!!
