Does anyone know what the difference is between crossed and uncrossed postal orders, ie how safe is an uncrossed postal order.

Uncrossed means anyone can cash it

Thanks, thats what I thought. It's an item on ebay that my DD2 has bought and the seller is asking for an uncrossed postal order.

He won't take paypal or a cheque, sounds iffy to me but of course she has little choice as she knew the terms beforehand{shock]
