Natwest remortgage

We have a remortgage application with Natwest, valuation was carried out earlier this week. Had a text yesterday from a conveyancing company acting on behalf of Natwest.

Does anyone know at what point in the process Natwest would instruct the free legals? No sign of a mortgage offer as yet.

We had enact contact us fairly soon after the surveyor asking us to set up our online account to track our application. From what I remember it wasn't an indicator of whether or not we were successful just a way to share paperwork and see what had been completed etc.

Ok thanks for letting me know. Was hoping it meant the mortgage had been approved!

Can I ask did they come to see your property for the valuation ? We are remortgaging and they did a desk top valuation , didn't even visit . However the value they put for our house is way below the value we thought .

Yes they instructed esurv to come to our property when they did valuation. So they inspected the property for about 15 minutes. I think they use desktop valuation if the loan to value is lower.
