Life insurance - stories where your kids have freaked you out the most?

OP: We have an old life insurance certificate for my grandad. The policy was to cover the cost to his parents of burying him if he died in childhood. Happily, he didn't, and the reduction in childhood mortality rates means that fewer parents face such a tragedy, or need to think about how they will pay for it.

I am not sure that's what you had in mind.
