I have been offered voluntary redundancy. if I take it does that mean I cannot apply for jsa further down the line if I cannot find employment? I have tried calling DWP but cannot get through to anyone and the website doesn't answer this question.

I took voluntary redundancy a few years ago and had contribution based JSA for up to 6 months you just have to make sure you have the necessary contributions so don't leave it too long before applying for JSA in case there is too much of a gap in them

Also if you have earned over the tax free allowance for the year the JSA is counted as taxable income and taxed as mine was.
