My ex has asked me to tell the CSA that he has our daughter overnight so he has to pay them less money. Why would he ask this, and what exactly would it gain him? Would it have any effect on me (other than making me a great stinking liar)? To be fair I'm very tempted to just say no, as I do not want to lie to them and the idea of it makes my skin crawl.

I am sure I read recently that if custody is jointly shared between the parents, ie one week with one then next week with another, then no maintenance needs to be paid. Also there is some minimum number of nights that he would have to have her per week before it can reduce his payments but not sure what it is. Lets face it any reduction in payments to the CSA will directly reduce your payment, so in effect he is asking you to LIE to save him money.
Ring them up tomorrow and just ask generally how it would affect your payments if ex has child one, two three nights etc.
